Sunday Inspirations

Quote:

~State of Life

Indoor Plants:

~Wall Planters for Succulents - - I think the theory of this is awesome and would love to try something like this when I have a house.

Inspirational Recipes:

~Baked Shrimp with Tomatillos - - Love shrimp and the husband seems to be coming around with certain types of seafood, so this sounds worth trying.

~Homemade Cherry Pie Larabars - - don't know that I would use this combo, but I like the idea for a snack.

~Lemon Curd Brownies - - Not perfectly Paleo, but close and they sound delicious!

~Tuscan Style Potato Soup - - Sounds delicious!

~Paleo Coconut Vanilla Ice Cream - - Sounds like a nice alternative, I'd have to do the freezer and mix option since I don't have an ice cream maker, but I don't think that would be that big of a deal.

~Pamesan Zucchini and Potato Soup - - I know, I know, expect to see plenty of soup recipes on Sunday Inspirations, because it is just that season. I love soup!

~Sweet Potato Chips - - Has anyone had sweet potato chips? How do they compare to sweet potatoes in other forms? Are they less sweet? They do sell White Sweet Potatoes in my grocery store also, I enjoy those more.

What inspired the gifts . . .

This is what started the sensation to make socks for Echo's children for Halloween gifts. It was a test-knit, that I knit in Justice's size and ended up loving the sock pattern. It is extremely stretchy, I knit the 8", but it can fit me - a little stretched out, but still can fit on my big feet.

Is it fair to start at the end?

In a string of inspiration, these were the last ones started and the second ones finished! Yes, I am going out of order. :)

These socks are going out to my 6 month old nephew, Liam.  He has tiny little feet, but nice sized feet for a little man his size.  I wish I could see them on his little feet.  These will go out as a Halloween gift.

Here is the front cable pattern

See that lovely orange yarn? Yes, I did my first forethought afterthought heel! Wasn't too bad.

Yummy Breakfast

Breakfast quick to go, is essential in my mornings if I am going to get a breakfast some mornings. So this weekend, I made a frittata type breakfast for the week.

I cooked up about 1lb of sausage, added 1 small diced onion and 6 mushrooms chopped in chunks, when they were cooked through, I poured over them 9 whisked eggs and baked in the oven. Wasn't sure overall if I'd like it, but it is quite simple and yummy. It will make a good breakfast for this week.
