Safe Waters?

I love requests . . . that are feasible . . . and Garren requested a shark for Christmas. I knew I had to make the best shark I could, a lot of the patterns are a little too cartoony for my tastes and I thought he would want something that was a bit more realistic.

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Heather
Color: Grey Heather
Content: 100% Acrylic

Yarn: Red Heart Soft Baby Steps
Color: Pink
Content: 100% Acrylic

Needles: US 2 / 2.75mm

Pattern: Shark

Mods: I used strips of white felt which I sewed into the mouth instead of making the knitted teeth. Honestly didn't think the knitted teeth were worth the trouble. And yes, I realized after I sent them off that I forgot to put eyes on the poor guy.

I love how this worked out and definitely worth knitting. Instructions were very good and not overcomplicated.

  1. Love it!! I honestly hadn't noticed the missing eyes until you said so; the mouth and teeth were just too awesome!

  2. That is ok, without eyes he is a less dangerous predator.
