Well, the weather has been super, super warm. The balcony garden had a horrible attack of aphids. It appears that I was able to save the tomato and pepper plants, but they attacked the strawberry plants relentlessly, even with the stuff I put on it to detour them. So, the strawberry plants have been uprooted and tossed out. The cilantro, dill, and zucchini are not fairing well with the current weather, so I am not going to show them. Not sure they'll be around much longer.
First up is the plants that I am trying to grow:
Coleus is thriving in the heat and has grown a lot!
Tray one of Cacti are thriving!
As is tray two of the Cacti!
Lastly we have the actual veggie plants:
The tomato plants are in a cage to help their growing. Tons of flowers, but no little tomatoes yet!
Pepper plants are absolutely loving the heat!
Many, many, many buds on the plants and here is our first baby pepper. Not sure what it is, as the planter is a mixture of different pepper plants. It is starting to look like a sweet pepper, but we shall see.
I hate aphids! They are just so unstoppable. I'm glad that some of your plants survived. The baby pepper is exciting!
ReplyDeleteYour plants look wonderful! All of our rain has affected my garden with the exception of the okra which is doing very well.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the bugs. That is just the pits!! Great on the baby pepper, we have lots of little buds but no peppers yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long since I've had any sort of garden I don't even know how to make intelligent conversation... My roses are in a terrible state this year, but the deer are leaving my lilies alone, so I guess I can't have everything.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great! I just got our first tomato the other day, and now we have lots, almost there!
ReplyDeleteGrowing Cacti from seed???? I've never heard of anyone doing that!
