Sunday Inspirations and Blogiversary Contest!

Well, had a fun day, got to talk to my sister Echo and my niece Justice, and then Wookie, the husband, and I went to the park and out to eat and I completely lost track of time.

First off, Sunday Inspirations:

This quote is my favorite of the week. If only it was a little easier for me to get into this mindset!

We have been doing some research on not only Pomeranian dogs, but how to modify behavior and crate train. Dog Breed Info appears to have some beneficial information on behavior and making sure Wookie knows who is Alpha. We already tried some of it since our evening walk on Saturday and I have noticed results already. He is doing well so far with the crate training also.

I love this Car-seat Cover Tutorial! It looks so easy, yet so very, very practical. I think I might make up one of these for little Ellie. I’m sure it’ll be helpful with the Washington rain.

I love this"in-the-round" version of Sartjee’s Booties from Fleegle!

Recipes I’d like to try:

This Skillet Chicken Parmesan sounds so good. My sister, Rhoni, makes a wonderful Chicken Parmesan. I just need to use Gluten-Free flour. I think I may try it this week.

Now for the contest! So since I completely forgot about my Blogiversary, to enter the contest all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what is the worst thing you've ever forgoten! The prize . . . a $20 gift certificate to the store of your choice. It can be a cooking store, an etsy store, a pet store, etc. As long as it's possible for me to get a gift certificate/card from them. You have until Friday, Saturday I will draw a winner!

  1. Congratulations on your Blog anniversary!
    I don't know, I have forgotten, what I've forgotten.
I'm glad to hear Wookie is doing so well. We've had many dog trainers over the years, and I've read many books, and even watched videos, but what helped us most was the Lady from Bark Busters. Without that help, I don't know if we would have been able to manage Denny. And their training solved all the problems, well except some little ones, I think are his personality traits. :o)

  2. good luck with the "alpha dog" thing! We went through that with our two, and all of it is worth your time and trouble.

  3. Dang. Blogger ate my comment again. I'm going to try to outsmart it.

Worst forgot? Work. When I worked at the firehouse, I worked roughly 10-24 hour shifts per month, and taking a day off here or there really confused my little mind at least once...

  4. Love Chicken Parm! That is something I would like to try, when I can eat again. The worst thing I forgot is my daughters birthday. The week after she was born I went into the doctor and they asked her date of birth and I said the date after she was born.. and the lady asking said a minute later, are you sure it wasn't..... I blame it on sleep deprivation!!

  5. I definitely forgot to put the kitties warm milk out before bed last night. . might not seem too horrible but I got a lot of fussy faces staring me down even now! I'm so happy that training is already working, he's such a smart little guy it's wonderful that he has you to teach him the right way :)
