Color : Cocoa
Content : 75% Superwash Merino Wool / 25% Nylon
Care : Machine Wash, Tumble Dry Low
Needles : US 8 for the body and US 6 for the edging
Pattern : Sliding Shawl (pattern not out yet)
Size : 49.5" across and 22" down the center (This was blocked, but not aggressively)
Modifications : None since this was a test-knit. I did have to go down in needle size to get the appropriate gauge though.
Even Wookie liked the end product!
This was definitely one of the more unstructured test-knits I have done. I'm not sure what the end pattern will completely look like as we went off more rough draft and pieces of it. The drafts for the chart I found confusing and they didn't include everything so I re-wrote mine so it made more sense. I would have been done sooner, but the yarn estimations were wrong, I ran out of yarn and had to place another order with Knit Picks, wait for it to arrive and then finish. I only had about 7/10ths of the border left to do. Overall, a little frustrating, but a lovely overall pattern. I would definitely knit this shawl again.
Love Wookie and the shawl picture!
ReplyDeletePretty! Sorry it was a pain to figure out. At least you know that your trouble will lead to improvements for other knitters. =)
ReplyDeletePretty, especially with that little model!

Looking good. The dog seems to like it very much!
ReplyDeleteYou are pretty brave! I love this yarn, I was just thinking of ordering some for another shawl pattern. Did you like working with it?
ReplyDeleteTake care
It came out very pretty.
