Because I place the knot work over the ankle, it bunches some at the ankle.
I would love to make the a little taller, but I would need to loose some circumference in my calf or increase some stitches for that.
Here is a shot of the bunches. It looks significant and if you are going by appearances, it diminishes the pattern, but honestly for fit or comfort, it doesn't really effect anything.
Without a foot.
Cable detail without foot.
I am enjoying all the cables I am working with. To be honest, I have like 5 socks on the needles right now, so hopefully this second one will get done soon, but it is more likely that it'll take me a little while to finish it. We shall see.
I didn't look after reading the warning in your last post! Love the cabled sock! I should do more socks with cables too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding time to finish.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... It will likely be next fall before the Knight wants more house socks, but I hope I remember this pattern!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you could reduce the bumpiness with short rows? Adding a little more height in the heel might help. Still, as you said, comfort is the key, and the cables are beautiful. =)
