Time to go to pieces . . .

So, I have finished the middle strip of my dad's blanket. Now I get to move on to the individual sections. I had thought that I had put 1.5 my height in warp on, but evidently it was just equal to my height in warp, so the middle strip is now going to run horizontal, not vertical, but that's the only big change I anticipate.

Here are some pictures of each weave that will be in the blanket. You can see where I wove in the ends, after I wash it, those will get taken out and a border will be put around the edges. My salvages are a little wonky, but I think for the most part, I did well.

This is one of my favorites.

This one too.

I have already started preparing the warp yarn for the first rectangle, can't wait.

  2. that's pretty cool! i've been thinking about weaving, but i'm staying away from it because i need another crafty hobby like a hole in my head.

yay! for _sock innovation_! i'm definitely enjoying knitting from it.

  5. This makes me miss weaving so much.
When I was a design student in college, one of my all time best classes was a weaving studio....5 credits for a whole semester in the most gorgeous weaving studio ever....it's been a long time, but I know if I jumped back in I would love it.....
